Register your child for Summer Art Camp at the Tampa Museum of Art. Weekly AM and PM camps are available for children and teens ages 6 to 17 as well as Adults 55+.
April 25 | Ancient Coins
Students will create their own currency inspired by the collection of ancient Roman coins on view at the museum.
May 23 | Pepe Mar
Students will learn about the artist Pepe Mar while creating their own found object artwork inspired by the collection Myth and Magic.
June 27 | Haitian Flags
Students will learn about the Haitian Flags in the Museum’s permanent collection while creating their own flag.
July 25 | Hearts
Students will learn about Esterio Segura’s piece called Goodbye My Love and create their own hearts.
August 29 | Particles of Dust
Students will learn about a sculpture on display called This Particle of Dust by Jacob Hashimoto. They will create a work of art inspired by this piece.

Session B | March 17 thru April 28 (8 classes)
Choose your adventure in hand-building or wheel-thrown ceramics. Work with your instructor to plan out your projects and make them a reality. Some experience with clay is recommended.
Firing costs, essential tools, and glazes included.
Clay is available for purchase separately in the studio.
*Some classes may require additional materials. If applicable a supply list or kit available for purchase will be provided first day of class.

Session B | March 7 thru May 2 *no class March 14 (8 classes)
Work with clay on the potters wheel. Beginners start with a hand-building project to get acquainted with the clay and then jump into learning how to throw their next clay adventure. Intermediate students can dive right into getting dirty and take inspiration from instructor-led projects. All experience levels are welcome!

This is part of the museum’s participation in the Vitality Arts Project for Art Museums funded by EA Michelson Philanthropy to promote the work of anti-ageism in our community and industry.
In this workshop, you will create dry-point prints inspired by textiles and embroidery on view in the coming show Embellish Me: Works from the Collection of Norma Canelas Roth and William Roth, opening February 15th, 2024.

Get outside and make some art in the landscape of Tampa Bay’s gorgeous scenery in this Plein Air watercolor painting course. This workshop will meet in one of Tampa Bay’s picturesque parks. Soak in the beauty and inspiration of nature as you create art at scenic locales throughout Hillsborough.
This course will meet in a local park and will require moving about the park to find your spot to paint. Bringing a lightweight camping chair, blanket, or other items that make your time in the park more comfortable is encouraged.
Some watercolors and paper materials will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring their own supplies, hand towels, and water bottles for cleaning brushes.

Work in your drawing and painting media of choice or explore new ones, In this instructor-guided class students will learn the fundamentals and expand their 2D knowledge while creating images from life.Work on the fundamentals and then dive into live model sessions.

Have you ever seen a work of art labeled “Digital drawing” and wondered how the artists created it? Or do you have a tablet or phone and thought about how you could use it to express your creativity? Or do you just want to try something new? This 8-session course will introduce students to new practices in digital artmaking utilizing paid and open-source applications like Procreate, Adobe Fresco, and Sketchbook. Students will take inspiration from the Museum’s ongoing exhibitions with gallery visits to create their own digital works of art.
