Join us for an unforgettable art journey for teen artists! In these hands-on studio art classes, you’ll explore a variety of mediums and work closely with our innovative local teaching artists. With mentorship and socialization at the forefront, you’ll learn about different paths in art while developing your skills and experimenting with new techniques. Teen Art Exhibition

The Youth Council’s Teen Art Exhibition showcases art by Tampa Bay middle and high school students by exhibiting them in the Vinik Family Education Center. Participating students can express themselves through any 2D or 3D medium. Students can submit their artworks to be part of this juried art exhibition and a chance to win prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place or the People’s Choice Award during Award Reception on Friday November 8.

Submissions open Monday, August 12 to Friday, September 27.

Youth Council

The Youth Council works year-round with an extensive, five-week summer session and meetings every week during the school year to plan programs targeted towards other teens in the Tampa Bay area. The Youth Council learns about careers at the Museum and works with Museum personnel to execute their events. The first youth council was established in 2016 with 12 Hillsborough County high schoolers.
