Ceramics Jewelry

Drawing and Painting

This class offers an opportunity to develop a painting or drawing from a live model or a photo reference. The flexible curriculum adjusts to individual artistic passions, focusing on rendering a 3-dimensional live figure, including portraiture, or work from an art-worthy photo of almost any subject. Work with your chosen material to achieve your masterpiece with attentive and helpful guidance at any level!

Join us for an inspiring 8-week journey into textile artistry, where we will stitch, layer, and compose fabric-based works inspired by the exhibitions at the Museum.  Through guided instruction in quilting techniques, fabric manipulation, and artistic composition, participants will develop their own textile-based piece while engaging with the rich textures and narratives of contemporary and historical art. This course is open to all levels and invites participants to explore the tactile beauty of fabric as an expressive medium.

This series of classes is an introduction to the unique world of wire-wrapped jewelry. Use a variety of jewelry-making tools, wire, and metals to manipulate wire into shapes, create strength and texture, and understand and incorporate beads and other embellishments into your designs. All inspired by the many symbolic forms and shapes in the Art of Coptic Egypt exhibition.
