The Tampa Museum of Art provides many opportunities for teens to get involved.

Teen Open Studio


When: Selected dates.

Where: Multiple sites across the Tampa Bay area:

  • Tampa Museum of Art in Downtown Tampa *
  • Winthrop Arts Factory in Riverview
  • Firehouse Cultural Center in Ruskin
  • Thonotosassa Rec Center in Thonotosassa

Teen Open Studio is a free program that gives teens in grades 6 through 12 the opportunity to create, learn, and work alongside local working artists. Teens can learn new techniques, explore new media, take on new themes, and hear about careers in the arts from a new artist every session.

* due to the popularity of the program at the Tampa Museum of Art site, registrations are limited to one month at a time on a first come, first serve basis. During the last week of every month, the form will be updated to show the following month’s dates. This ensures every teen who is interested can have a fair chance at taking part of the program. It is suggested you save or bookmark the link to the registration form in order to register to all the sessions in a timely manner.
