Youth Council - Tampa Museum of Art
About

The Tampa Museum of Art Youth Council was established in 2016 with 12 Hillsborough County high school students. Each annual council spends time learning about careers in museums and meeting museum professionals. The Youth Council works year-round to create dynamic programming for teen students in the Tampa Bay area during an extensive Summer Session, and works regularly throughout the year to execute student programs here at the Museum.

Who we are

  • We, the Tampa Museum of Art’s Youth Council, strive to engage, educate, and excite youth in arts.
  • We, the Tampa Museum of Art’s Youth Council, are dedicated to diversity, equality, opportunity, creativity, community, and discovery.

What we do

  • The Youth Council executes opportunities that inspire teens by exposing them to differing perspectives and museum culture. We strive to create a platform where the passionate, curious, and marginalized can share their experiences and connect through meaningful interactions.
