With mentorship and socialization at the forefront, you’ll learn about different paths in art while developing your skills and experimenting with new techniques. CTRL+Art+Create:
Student Exhibition 2025

CTRL+Art+Create is Tampa Museum of Art’s Youth Council’s student-led exhibition empowering middle and high school artists to showcase their work, gain recognition, and compete for cash prizes. Selected works will be displayed in the TMA’s Vinik Family Education Center from November 6 to December 31 and featured in an exhibition catalogue.

Exhibit Z

Exhibit Z is TMA Youth Council’s bi-monthly program for the 2025-2026 school year that welcomes teens to the Tampa Museum of Art on a regular basis for fun, safe, and creative experiences. Teens can create their own art, collaborate with like-minded peers, and experience the art on view all in a low pressure, no cost environment.

Young Directors’ Film Festival 2026

The Young Directors Film Festival returns for 2026 with a focus on empowering young filmmakers and dedicated to celebrate and elevate creativity and teen voices. This Festival offers a platform for the community of Tampa Bay. The festival allows students, families, and film lovers to come and celebrate the future of film making.

Youth Council

The Youth Council works year-round with an extensive, five-week summer session and meetings every other week during the school year to plan programs targeted towards other teens in the Tampa Bay area. The Youth Council learns about careers at the Museum and works with Museum personnel to execute their events.
