NextGen Curator’s Chat with Troia Shonlau

Spend an evening at the Tampa Museum of Art exploring Jun Kaneko: Silence Before Sound, with a special curator’s chat featuring Troia Schonlau, who brings expert insight into the exhibition as the Director of Sales & Exhibitions at Jun Kaneko Studio.
Doors open at 5:30pm for a gallery activity, light bites and a cash bar*. Guests are invited to explore Kaneko’s monumental works up close before the conversation begins at 6.30pm, led by Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, Joanna Robotham.
Silence Before Sound represents the first major exhibition of Kaneko’s oeuvre in Florida and will presents an overview of Kaneko’s six-decade career—from his early involvement in the California Clay Movement to the groundbreaking projects that blurred the boundaries of painting, ceramics, and sculpture.
Join us and gain a deeper understanding of how Kaneko continues to redefine what is possible with clay.
