Poetry in the Galleries: TMA x UTampa NEON

Join us for an evening of live poetry inside the galleries of the Tampa Museum of Art. Inspired by the monumental sculptures and paintings in Jun Kaneko: Silence Before Sound, students from the University of Tampa will share original poems written in response to the works on view.

Experience the exhibition through fresh voices and new perspectives as each poet performs beside the artwork that sparked their writing. This special collaboration with NEON, UTampa’s student-run literary and arts magazine brings together visual art and spoken word.

Lectures are offered free with the cost of daily admission:

  • Art+ Museum Members: Free
  • Not-Yet-Members: $25
  • College Students: Free

Neon is a student-run literary and arts magazine located at the University of Tampa. For more information find Neon on Instagram @neon_utampa
