Collector’s Chat: Collecting Emerging Artists with Liz Dimmitt

March 12 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for a special evening celebrating women in the arts with a conversation with art collector Liz Dimmitt and viewing of the exhibition Avant Garde: Remarkable Women in the Permanent Collection. Dimmitt serves as Managing Partner at Dimmitt Chevrolet and is CEO/Co-Founder of FloridaRAMA, an immersive art experience in St. Petersburg’s Warehouse District. She will be in conversation with Joanna Robotham, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, and will share insights on collecting contemporary art, in particular emerging artists.

As part of the evening’s celebration of women in the arts, this NextGen event features an exclusive mini pop-up of Lucy Sparrow’s Quick Shop in the Museum’s lobby. Sparrow works as a felt artist and is known for her detailed felt creations of everyday food products and pharmacy items.
