Maximalist Paintings Kit

Be guided step-by-step through the creation of a unique and BIG maximalist abstract painting, inspired by Frank Stella: What You See, and Frank Stella: Illustrations after El Lissitzky’s Had Gadya on view through September 27th at the Tampa Museum of Art.

The art supplies in this kit include:

  • 4 small sheets Railroad Board
  • 1 large sheet Railroad Board
  • 4 containers of Tempera paint (click link below to select your colors)
  • 1 paint brush
  • 1 roll of tape
  • 1 black Sharpie marker
  • You will need your own scissors for this project.

Each kit also includes printed information about the art that inspired the course, printed detailed instructions, a link to a short demonstration video, a link to a 90-minute instruction video that you can work along with in real time, and one free adult admission pass to the Tampa Museum of Art. You can pick up your kit at the welcome desk at the Tampa Museum of Art, or have it delivered locally to any location in Hillsborough County, FL. 

The first 20 kits sold will come in an upcycled wooden cigar box.

Every kit that is purchased pays for a free kit to be given away to one of our scholarship applicants.
