Tampa Homegrown New Music Concert Series at Tampa Museum of Art – Works for Celli

September 27, 2020 @ 2:30 pm

Tampa Homegrown in collaboration with The Tampa Museum of Art (TMA) are excited to present the second concert program performed and recorded at the museum. Combining the mission and vision of the two organizations, the concert will link specific artwork of the exhibitions at TMA through the music of composers deeply connected to Tampa Bay.

The September concert features original music for the cello quartet. Cellists Scott Kluksdahl, Eduard Teregulov, Ashton Chen, and George Alexander will be performing  works by composers of the Tampa Bay area, including Logan Barrett, G. Blake Harrison-Lane, Marissa DiPronio, Tom Kersey, and Bj Davis.

Tampa Homegrown New Music Concert Series is a collaborative project between international artist performers and composers who are directly related to Tampa Bay. Coordinated by USF alumni Eduard Teregulov, Michelle Painter, and Michael Standard, its mission is to expose and support contemporary art music in the Bay area with support of the local community. During these times when live performances are not possible, Tampa Homegrown is staying active to keep its mission and the music present for all.

The video premiers on the Tampa Museum of Art YoutTube page on Sunday, September 27 at 2:30p.
