Student Panel Discussion: Impressions on Impressionism

Join us for an in-gallery discussion of select works in Frontiers of Impressionism: Paintings from the Worcester Art Museum. This panel will be moderated by TMA’s Gallery Programs Coordinator, Iris Gonzalez, and include short presentations by art history students from the University of South Florida and the University of Tampa.

In-gallery programs at the Tampa Museum of Art are free with the cost of Admission.

Anna Kearns is a fifth year student at The University of Tampa working to complete her B.A. in Museum Studies. Anna has taken numerous art history courses throughout her college career and she wishes to specialize in the Surrealism art movement throughout Europe in the future. She has done previous work for the Tampa Museum of Art’s Summer Art Camp and hopes to use her experience as a stepping stone into a career in museum education. She looks forward to continuing working for the museum and conducting further art research in her future career.

Hanna Weber is a writer and art historian currently in her second year of graduate studies at the University of South Florida, where she is pursuing a Master’s in Art History. A Tampa native, Hanna spent her summers at the Tampa Museum of Art, where her ardent passion for art, art history, and museum studies was cultivated from a young age. Her research interests include the varied and profound intersections of poetry and art within the field of art history. Hanna will graduate with her MA in May 2024, and hopes to pursue a career in museum education and curation. 

Lauren Whitaker is an artist and art historian currently pursuing her MA in art history at the University of South Florida. Her research is shaped by an interest in materiality and illuminating human history, culture, and connection through the life of artworks. She is driven by her love of discovering new understandings of life and art through close research. Lauren is passionate about art education and hopes to pursue a career that allows her to facilitate a love of knowledge and appreciation for art in others.
