Program Schedule

All Day

Family Selfie Station
A photograph with a work of art serves as a tangible keepsake symbolizing the bond shared within the family and reflecting
your shared experiences, values, and joy of exploring art together.

Family Recipe Swap
Making and sharing a meal together as a family is core to the African American experience. Does your family have a special recipe that has been passed down for generations? Share it with us and take home a new recipe to add to your next family meal.

Father Figure Fruit Tree
June 18 is also a day to celebrate our dads and the people who we look up to as fathers! Share pictures, drawn portraits, and stories about these special people in your life and add it to our own artist-inspired fruit tree!

Resource Showcase
Learn more about our local cultural and community resources from the City of Tampa Public Art Programs, Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, and more.

10:30 am  –  4:30 pm

Quilting Stamps
Make your own reusable block stamps and create a patterned piece of artwork with a quilt-like look. This activity takes inspiration from the fabric artwork of Christopher Meyers’, How to Name Famine, a Fire, a Flood, and quilts throughout history.

Hand Sculpted Frames
Decorate a picture frame using Model Magic to create a unique, 3D frame that can be used to hold a 4×6 photo. This activity is inspired by the handmade frames of the Florida Highwaymen in the exhibition
