Artschooled is a program where children can create projects inspired by art currently on view at the Tampa Museum of Art. Projects are designed for children in grades K-5. All materials provided.
Students will explore the abstract painting style of KACE (Naeem Khan and Stanley Casselman), with a focus on the use of sequined flowers. Using KACE’s work as inspiration, students will create their own abstract painting with sequined flowers on canvas.
Using LEGO bricks, students will create their own interpretation of Ai Weiwei’s Dropping A Han Dynasty Urn (LEGO) artwork alongside their personal image, which encourages the idea of breaking with tradition and challenging established norms.
