Scholarship Application Open!

Each year the Tampa Museum of Art provides scholarships to make our studio programs a creative and enriching experience available to all, regardless of economic backgrounds. Need-based scholarships are available for a limited number of student-artists. Scholarship applications for fall programs are due 2 weeks prior to the applied-for program’s start date.

Graphic Novels Teen Workshop Series Day 3: Sequential Narrative:
Dec 1, 5 – 7:30pm

Ever wanted to create your own comic book? This sequential narrative workshop focuses on how to visually layout your ideas in graphic novel format. Make your story flow, characters come alive, and text pop, all in support of driving your narrative and capturing your reader’s imagination.

This workshop series takes place at the Tampa Museum of Art in the newly expanded Vinik Family Education Center,  120 W. Gasparilla PlazaTampa, FL 33602.

“Perfect for your technology loving young artist, this 3 day intensive will sample a variety of ways to use the computer to make art. Topics may include, digital painting, photo-montage, and animation.

Ages 12-17

Moving at the Museum
Saturdays, 1/21 – 2/25 | 10:30-11:30am

Poetica presents Moving at the Museum! Taught by dance educator and choreographer, Amanda Sieradzki. These dance classes keep both brain & body strong and healthy and use art exhibitions for inspiration to create a unique movement/visual art experience for the whole family.

Participants should come dressed in comfortable, form fitting clothing and comfortable shoes.

Each class session is designed for everybody and every body with no prior experience required—ages 2 to 102 welcome!

On the last Wednesday of the month, Winthrop Arts hosts Tampa Museum of Art for our Teen Workshops. In these hands on studio art classes, teen artists get to explore a variety of mediums and work closely with a local teaching artist.
