Tampa Museum of Art

Also known as the Gasparilla Fringe Festival—brings a smorgasbord of live theater, dance, comedy, performance art, music, and more to Tampa Museum of Art! Inspired by the free-wheeling Fringe Festival tradition popular around the world—from Edinburgh to Orlando—Gasp! was created in 2014 in collaboration between Creative Loafing and Tampa Museum of Art. A complement to the springtime mix of Gasparilla festivals in and around Curtis Hixon Park, it’s the only one that focuses primarily on the performing arts— from theater, dance, and spoken word to improv, comedy, carnival, and more—as well as the hybrids that bring these genres together with music, film, and visual art.
