DESCRIPTION:Adults 55+ | Beginner-Intermediate Level | with Gina and Shelly\nMonday thru Thursday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM\nJune 30 – July 3\nExplore the world of Encaustic art\, an ancient form of painting with hot pigmented beeswax. During this course participants will learn about encaustic history\, materials\, and safety. In this 4-day workshop\, students will explore a variety of techniques such as incising\, layering\, pigment sticks\, mark-making\, mixed media collage and mono-printing. Designed for beginners and advanced skills alike\, we will work together to focus on taking your encaustic creativities to a new level! \nGina White is an encaustic artist and educator teaching workshops and private lessons in encaustic in the Tampa Bay area. \nShelley Jean is an Artist and educator who has taught in the public and private sector for 34 years. She currently teaches encaustic throughout Florida\, the US\, and internationally.
