Bring the family and celebrate 100 years of art in Tampa with exhibitions that emphasize ancient\, modern\, and contemporary art. \nBeginning at 4 pm every Thursday\, walk up to the Welcome Desk and tell the Visitor Experience and Engagement Representatives the admission price you chose to pay for your visit to the museum. Saunders\, Sr. Public Library. \nJoanna Robotham\, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Tampa Museum of Art\, will present a talk on Florida artists Pepe Mar\, Mernet Larsen\, Purvis Young\, and Theo Wujcik. Inspired by art history\, the artists create unique artworks that demonstrate the influence of Old Master painters\, the Russian Avant-Garde\, the Impressionists\, and 20th-century trailblazers. This presentation will highlight how contemporary artists have created a union between the past and the present in their works of art. \nPepe Mar\, Mernet Larsen\, Purvis Young\, and Theo Wujcik’s art are part of the Tampa Museum of Art’s permanent collection.
