DESCRIPTION:Every Thursday from 4 to 8 pm\, the Tampa Museum of Art offers Art on the House where admission prices change to pay-as-you-will\, and visitors choose whatever admission price they want to pay. Bring the family and celebrate 100 years of art in Tampa with exhibitions that emphasize ancient\, modern\, and contemporary art. \nBeginning at 4 pm every Thursday\, walk up to the Welcome Desk and tell the Visitor Experience and Engagement Representatives the admission price you chose to pay for your visit to the museum. Any donation amount is welcome.

SUMMARY:NextGen Curator’s Chat with Troia Schonlau
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition Jun Kaneko: Silence Before Sound brings together six decades of work by the internationally celebrated artist. Join us for “Jun Kaneko: Life and Work\,” a special visual presentation by Troia Schonlau\, Archivist at the Jun Kaneko Studio. \nKaneko’s monumental ceramics and captivating paintings are beholden to great applause. He also has designed stage sets\, lighting\, and costumes for three operas in addition to his studio work. Overall\, he has completed over 40 worldwide public art installations. With work in over 60 museum and private collectors from around the globe\, Kaneko’s artwork is truly one of a kind. \nDoors open at 5:30pm\, where guests are invited to enjoy light bites and a cash bar. Prior to the presentation\,  Joanna Robotham\, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art\, will lead Gallery Bingo\, an interactive activity with prizes. \nJoin us and gain a deeper understanding of how Kaneko continues to redefine what is possible with clay. \nGeneral Admission \nBecome a NextGen Member** \nGeneral Admission | $35 \nNextGen Members receive complimentary admission. DESCRIPTION:Art+ Members are invited to join us for a New & Renewed Member Orientation Tour. Whether you’re a first time member or long time supporter\, come join us for an evening at the museum! \nWe will meet as a group by the staircase in the atrium at 6:00pm. From there\, we will venture into the galleries for a brief overview of everything currently on view. After the tour\, members are encouraged to explore the galleries independently. \nThe tour will coincide with our weekly Art on the House\, where we offer donation based admission\, so please feel free to bring friends and family as well. The museum will be open until 8pm. \n  \nLet us know you’re coming.
