Award winning journalist, critic and curator Barbara Pollack is the author of the book, Brand New art from China: A Generation on the Rise, newly published by I. B. Tauris. Pollack is a world renowned specialist on contemporary Chinese Art and curated the show, My Generation: Young Chinese Artists at the Tampa Museum of Art and Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg in 2014. Since 1994, she has written for such publications as the New York Times, Artnews, Art in America, vanity Fair among many others. In recognition of her groundbreaking research, she has received two grants from the Asian Cultural Council (2008, 2016) and the Andy Warhol/creative Capital Arts Wtiters Grant (2010).
