In-Person / Virtual Hybrid at Tampa Museum of Art: January 23, 2p-4:30p
During this month’s session, we’ll work on and share our own art, and participate in an art lesson using household materials.
Local artist and TMA Studio Programs Coordinator Anthony Record will be leading the group through an assemblage project. For the in-person session at the Museum all art supplies are provided. All materials provided, but bring your sketchbook if you have one, along with stuff to draw with.
To participate in the virtual session you’ll need whatever materials you want to use, 2D or 3D to create your alter-ego. Find as many different scraps, materials, objects, and collage materials as possible to use in your sculpture or 2D work.
Teen Open Studio is a free program presented by the Tampa Museum of Art that gives teens in grades 6 through 12 the opportunity to create, learn, and work alongside local working artists. Teens can learn new techniques, explore new media, take on new themes, and hear about careers in the arts.
Participation is free but pre-registration is required.
For virtual: Registered teens will receive an email with a link to a virtual Zoom meeting and a password a day before the event.
For in-person: Teens will receive an email with details about classroom location and drop-off procedures 2-3 days before the session.
