Summer Art Camp – Week 4

Spend your summer surrounded by art, both ancient an contemporary, as you create and learn in our Summer Art Camp Program! Each camp is directly inspired by our exhibitions in display, and our instructors will introduce you to different mediums and techniques in a fun and engaging way!

Week 4: June 24th – 28th


Ages 6 -7

  • AM Camp: Inspired by Glass
    Take a close look at the exhibition Ancient and Modern Glass from the Collection, then make your own glass-like works of art with glass-inspired projects and materials.

  • PM Camp: Sculpture: Ancient and Modern
    Create sculptures inspired by all of the different kinds of sculpture on view, from small animals in the antiquities collection to large-scale sculpture in the lobby and create original works of three-dimensional art.

Ages 8-10

  • AM Camp: Vases, Ancient and Modern
    Some new, some old, and some very old vases are on view. Create some vases that look ancient, some that look modern, and some that look like a little bit of both!

  • PM Camp: Sequential Art
    Our antiquities galleries are filled with sculptures and paintings of legendary journeys, battles, contests, gods, goddesses, heroes, and athletes. Create characters and make a comic book about their adventures.

  • Members: $125 per camp
  • Not-yet Members: $150 per camp
  • Optional: Daily lunch provided by SaltBlock Hospitality: $35 per week
