Pride & Passion Postponed

Updated 3/17/2020 1:00PM

Because the safety and well-being of guests, volunteers, staff, and community are the Tampa Museum of Art’s top priority, the festivities for Pride & Passion originally scheduled for April 18, 2020, will be postponed for a future date yet to be determined.

In partnership with government officials, local partnerships, and sponsors, the postponement of the 15th annual Pride & Passion celebration, presented by Wells Fargo, meets the CDC recommendation to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in our Tampa Bay community.

The good news is that Pride & Passion guests now have more time to exercise their creativity and plan the perfect outfit for this year’s theme, Neon Jungle. Stay tuned for an announcement with a new date for the Tampa Museum of Art’s most popular fundraising event of the year that celebrates diversity and inclusion in Tampa Bay.

Anticipate an eclectic and energy-filled evening with this year’s theme, NEON JUNGLE, featuring jaw-dropping entertainment, mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres, and a premium open bar. More than 600 guests are expected to attend, dressed in their finest evening wear with pops of neon and inspired by the animal within.

about pride & passion

The LGBTQ+ community plays a significant role in the artistic and cultural fabric of Tampa Bay and around the world. Pride & Passion, a signature fundraising event for the Tampa Museum of Art, has celebrated the community and its impact on the arts for the past fifteen years. All funds raised by Pride & Passion directly support Museum programs that reduce barriers to admission, create safe places for people to experience the arts, and celebrate local talent. This year, Pride & Passion will focus its efforts specifically on LGBTQ+ youth in the Tampa Bay community while partnering with Metro Inclusive Health to bring new programs to the Museum.

Friends and members of the LGBTQ+ community comprise the Pride & Passion committee, and they all share a passion for the mission of the Tampa Museum of Art. Since the first event, Pride & Passion has grown bigger each year, not only in the number of guests but also in theme and fundraising efforts. Wells Fargo has been the presenting sponsor of Pride & Passion for the past eight years.
