Home Studio: Family Day

Home Studio: Family Day is family-friendly celebration from home inspired by current exhibitions and visitor favorites at the Tampa Museum of Art! Each box (delivered to your home or picked up from the Museum) includes all the traditional and non-traditional art supplies you’ll need for a full day of learning, making, creativity, and family togetherness. You’ll also receive pictures of examples with links to how-to videos that include visuals and information about the works of art that inspired each project.

Projects are designed for children ages 6-11, with the option for parents to help and collaborate.

Projects in the winter edition of Family Day include:

 

Hand Puppets inspired by Pepe Mar’s sculpture Burning Up

Faux-Finish Ancient Bronze Sculptures inspired by ancient Greek Horse Figurines

Geometric Painted Figures inspired by Mernet Larsen’s Raft

Spinning Drawing Machine inspired by an ancient Greek Kylix

Collaborative Wall Hanging inspired by Willie Cole’s Sunflower

Book Klub (a blank book and storywriting guide) inspired by the epic tales visualized in our ancient Greek and Roman pottery collection

Home Delivery In Hillsborough County, FL: $25

*Home deliveries in Hillsborough County take place before 7p Friday on the week you select.

Home Delivery Outside Hillsborough County, FL: $25

*Packages sent outside Hillsborough County will be mailed before 7p Friday on the week you select.

Apply for Scholarship

Every Home Studio purchase pays for one Home Studio for a scholarship applicant.

Each box includes: 10 sheets Scrapbooking paper, 10 sheets construction paper, Colorful lunch bag, Small scissors, Bag of odds and ends assemblage materials, Glue bottle, pre-cut foam blocks, Pencils, Sharpie, Toothpicks, Paint strip of 6 acrylic paints, Small roll of bendable metal wire, 4 containers of pre-mixed acrylic paint for bronzing, 2 cardboard tubes, 2 Metallic Cricut sheets, Blank book, Large craft paper to put down to cover work area, Cut-out stencils, template, Book Klub handouts, Card with links to how-to videos for all projects.
