“Blueprint/Redbloom” Virtual Performance Premiere

Join us virtually on our Youtube channel for the premiere of a collaborative performance presentation by Skyway 20/21 artists Jaime Aelavanthara and Amanda Sieradzki in collaboration with Homegrown New Music Ensemble.

This premiere will include a 5 minute segment at the conclusion of the performance to ask questions and learn directly from the artists and performers watching along with you!

Skyway is triennial celebration of artistic practices in the Tampa Bay region. Working together, curators from four different institutions including the Tampa Museum of Art, highlight the diversity of art being created in the Central Florida region.

Jaime Aelavanthara and Amanda Sieradzki’s multidisciplinary project Blueprint/Redbloom draws inspiration from dance, visual art, and poetry. Each cyanotype features the silhouette of a figure gracefully moving through space. Marine plant elements, such as seagrass and kelp, suggest both the natural beauty of the Gulf Coast, as well as its susceptibility to toxic algae blooms and red tide.

This collaborative performance featuring Homegrown New Music Ensemble occurred during the final month that Skyway 20/21 was on view at the Tampa Museum of Art.
