During this time of social distancing, the Tampa Museum of Art wants to continue bringing art into your lives. We believe that art has the power to create a positive impact in our community by helping us learn, relax, introspect, create, and express ourselves.
Postponements of public programs and cancellations of significant fundraising events will have a lasting impact on our future operations. Every week the Museum remains closed, we miss the opportunity to serve audiences with special needs, including people living with dementia, HIV/AIDS, Substance Use Disorder, and other serious health concerns. During the closure, we are currently unable to provide monthly art-therapy interventions for children and teens in foster care, homeless adults, children of migrant populations, and children in domestic violence shelters.
Whether you can donate time or money, you can help the Tampa Museum of Art mitigate the loss of revenue and charitable donations to help the Museum continue to offer programs to all segments of the community. Here are ways that you can help TMA:
You can choose what you would like your donation to go toward, Collection Care, Acquisitions, General Fund! Help us keep our art safe during this time. Fun Fact: Did you know that proper art care requires the Museum to remain at 69 degrees year-round? Our staff owns lots of sweaters, but our art is delighted! 🙂
We want to take this opportunity to hear from you. Please follow this link to take this short survey and let us know how the Museum can better serve you during this time of crisis and what would you like to see from TMA once we’re able to resume regular business hours to the public.
Membership funds sustain the Museum’s operations and help us provide exhibitions and art education programs!
Through email, we share announcements about new exhibitions, art classes, artist talks, special events, and much more.
Help us get more people in the community involved in the arts by asking others to follow TMA on social media and sharing the Museum’s posts with your friends and followers.
Be a part of an exclusive community that shares your interests. Affinity groups are an add-on benefit to an Art+ Membership that gives you collection-specific programming like lectures.
If you already shop on Amazon, consider using AmazonSmile to support TMA. Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases to the Tampa Museum of Art when you designate the Tampa Museum of Art as your charity.
TMA relies heavily on visitor reviews on sites like Google, Facebook, Yelp, and TripAdvisor to help others discover the Museum and visit in person. Now is the perfect time to hop online to share a kind note about your experience at TMA, the Museum Store, and the Riverwalk Cafe. Be sure to include photos of your experience to add even more value to your review.
Although the event was postponed to the summer, tickets are still available for purchase to the Museum’s most popular fundraising event.
Planned Giving is one of the most meaningful ways to create a legacy at the Tampa Museum of Art while taking advantage of income and tax benefits for you and your heirs.
