Join the TMA Studio programs this December for exciting new offerings and partnerships! We now offer classes in Ruskin at the Firehouse Cultural Center and in Riverview at The Winthrop Art Factory. Continue taking classes at our existing partnership with the Roberta M. Golding Visual Art Center at the Bryan Glazer Family Jewish Community Center, operated by the City of Tampa.

 Studio Art in December!

 Adult Classes

“Lit-up, Motorized Sculpture” December 16th from 10a-2p at the Roberta M. Golding Visual Art Center located in the Bryan Glazer Family Jewish Community Center operated by the City of Tampa. Students will learn how to construct moving, blinking, and whirring 3D pieces. This engaging course will produce creations as active as the artists who made them. $40 Members, $50 Not-yet Members.

 

Children & Family Classes

“Holiday Family Day” December 2nd at the Firehouse Cultural Center from 9:30a-12:30p. Families and kids of all ages- join us for holiday card making using family-friendly printmaking stamps! Teacher Susan Fredricks will show you how to make your own, using wood blocks. Free for everyone.

“Tiny Masters” on December 20th from 10a-10:45a at The Winthrop Art Factory in Riverview. This activity invites parents and children (ages 3-6) to work together to create a masterpiece that is truly as unique as your family! $20 for one child & one adult, $10 for each additional child. Price includes all art making materials and a museum voucher.

Term 1 Studio Art at the Tampa Museum of Art

Join the TMA Studio programs for an exciting new term in 2018! Become inspired by the Museum’s permanent collection and our Modern & Contemporary exhibitions on view. Learn new skills or brush up on your favorite mediums with our variety of workshops and courses. Experience our engaging small classes taught by professional teaching artists from the Tampa Bay community.

(Ages 14 & up) A series of classes that build your skill level while developing works of art week to week.

 

Oil Pastel Exploration

Achieve colorful compositions inspired by the patterns and textures of the Museum’s current exhibition, “Made in Tampa”.

Pursuit in Printmaking

Using a range of printmaking techniques, produce striking prints inspired by what is on view in the Museum.

Calligraphy Workshops
