Wildlife Sketching at ZooTampa

Learn new approaches to sketching and journaling by drawing wildlife at ZooTampa with local artist Olivia Thornton. Sketchbook, pen, watercolor pencils, and ZooTampa admission all included.

Screen Printing Survey

Learn the unique uses and effects of screen printing, using some of the same approaches as prints on view at the Tampa Museum of Art.

Resin and Color

Learn how to use resin, metal foils, and pigments, and create a cubic objet d’art that reflects, absorbs, and transmits light. Inspired by the work of Larry Bell now on view in the exhibition Vapor and Vibration: The Art of Larry Bell and Raphael Jesus Soto. All supplies included.

Create hand forged jewelry with designs and flourishes based on the flora, fauna, and other forms of the natural world. Learn basic soldering, torch fired enamel techniques, and the forming of metal into chains, pendants, bracelets, and earrings.

Strengthen your skills in our self-guided nude figure model drawing sessions with a variety of times poses. Model varies by session. (Must be at least 18 years old to participate)

For those enrolled in Westchase Recreation Center after school care program, we offer weekly art projects inspired by the Museum’s current exhibitions, instructed by certified K-12 art teachers.
