Tampa Museum of Art

Groups & Tours

Adult/Group Tours: Each year, visitors of all ages and backgrounds visit the Tampa Museum of Art on docent-led tours. Whether visiting the Museum to view a current special exhibition, or to enjoy works of art from the museum’s permanent collection, a Docent-led (guided) tour can be arranged for any group visit. A one-hour highlight tour of all Museum galleries is available upon request. Tours must be scheduled in advance of a visit to the Museum. Lunch may be arranged through the Sono Cafe. To schedule an adult/group tour, please fill out the Adult/Group Tour Request form.

School Tours: Docent-led tours focus on connecting students with the Museum’s collections and special exhibitions and inspiring an understanding and appreciation of the visual arts. Students are encouraged to use critical thinking and viewing skills to connect with the art on view and to discover how it relates to their studies and their own life experiences. Tours must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance of a visit to the Museum. To schedule a school tour, please fill out the School Tour Request form.

Professors & College Students: College and university faculty are encouraged to bring their classes to the Museum. Faculty may teach in the galleries or schedule a Docent-led tour for their class. Museum tours and gallery class discussions must be scheduled two weeks in advance of a visit. To schedule a school tour, please fill out the College Tour Request form.
