Young Photographer Curates First Show

Posted on: August 6th, 2013

Abby Jetmundsen, 18-year-old recent graduate of H. B. Plant High School was awarded first place in the Tampa Museum of Art’s 2012 Student Photography Competition, a part of the Museum Gives Back annual program, for her photograph Blink. Part of her award was the opportunity to curate a show from our permanent collection of contemporary photography.  On view until August 18 in the Saunders Gallery, her show Faceless: Insight without Identity invites viewers to connect to the feeling of a photograph rather than the narrative of an individual.
