Pride & Passion is the official kick-off to Gay Pride month celebrations across Tampa Bay.  Proceeds from the event support the Museum’s educational programs and help bring new and unique exhibitions to Tampa.   Join over 800 friends at the Museum for a dazzling night of art, entertainment, food and drinks.

Pride & Passion is produced by a volunteer steering committee in partnership with the Tampa Museum of Art. Thank you to this year’s Steering Committee members. 2013 Committee members are: Marc Retzlaff, Chair; Kelly Juneau (Vice-Chair), Emily Cabral, Jose Garboza, Jess Hille, Mariruth Kennedy, Don Kiceina, Jr., Mishou, James Ratliff, Ruslana Panov, Nancy Seijas – Kipnis, Okesene “Okie” Tilo, Portia Weiss, Dennis Wolfe.

History

Pride & Passion celebrates diversity in our community. The first Pride & Passion, held in June 2006, was the largest one-time membership event ever held at the Museum. Since then, the event has continued to encourage new memberships and raise funds in support of exhibitions and educational programs.

Mission

To be the premier LGBT event for the Tampa Museum of Art’s outreach to the community by producing a fun, memorable and profitable annual event that raises funds for Museum exhibitions, encourages new memberships, fosters a continuing commitment by current members and reaffirms the Museum’s commitment to diversity.
