Prepare for a stylish and energetic evening at Tampa’s most fashionable fundraising event, CITY: Fashion+Art+Culture. Now celebrating its 11^th year, CITY transforms the Tampa Museum of Art into a vibrant runway filled with the elegant fashions created by internationally celebrated designer Silvia Tcherassi.

Guests at CITY will enjoy a spectacular presentation of Tcherassi’s runway collection and appearance by the designer, whom Forbes named one of Colombia’s 50 most powerful women of 2020. As a designer and entrepreneur, Tcherassi became the first Latin American designer to be invited to Paris and Milan’s official fashion week calendars. Tcherassi’s fashions have been featured in numerous publications like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, WWD, and Vanity Fair, and her brand extension Tcherassi Hotels was selected by Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure as one of the best in the world.

About Silvia Tcherassi

A true trailblazer, innovator and trendsetter, Silvia Tcherassi is one of the leading figures in fashion. She has been awarded one of France’s highest honors – the Officier de L’Ordre Arts et Lettres (Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters), a distinction bestowed on leaders of the international arts community for their “contribution and commitment to cultural service.”

She was born in Colombia, on the shores of the Caribbean. Tcherassi began her career as an interior designer, but the search for new artistic expressions led her into fashion. Her creations have been presented during the official calendar of Paris and Milano fashion weeks invited as a special guest by their organizers.

She is also the founder and creative director of the brand extension Tcherassi Hotels focused on the creative development of hospitality and real estate projects.

Tcherassi is the author of the book “Elegancia sin Esfuerzo” (Effortless Elegance) published by Random House about her style approach, from fashion to hospitality.
